Clare Goddard
English born mixed media artist CLARE GODDARD assembles her quietly evocative collages from found objects such as matchbooks, letters, book pages, recycled paper, stamps, used envelopes, tape, buttons and thread.
By using reclaimed and commonplace materials, particularly those of a transitory, ephemeral nature, she explores ideas of sustainability, art in the community and individuality in design.
Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries worldwide and is represented in public and private collections.
Goddard trained at Loughborough College of Art, Gerrit Rieveld Academy in Amsterdam and undertook post graduate studies at the Royal College of Art in London. She currently works from her home in Finland.
