Antique English George II Walnut Chest of Drawers

An antique English George II walnut chest of drawers, circa 1740. Of large size proportions, it houses 5 graduated drawers with a 2 over 3 configuration. With fluted chamfered corners and bracket feet. Beautiful original walnut veneers to the front of the drawers & brass hardware. Most likely altered in the 19th century, when the drawers were cut in half (similar to how campaign drawers are constructed for ease of movement). In great condition, with solid construction, they offer excellent storage space and are highly attractive.
