English School Desk

Made from solid English Oak, this original school desk was reclaimed from the private girls school, Lady Manors, located in the spa town of Buxton, Derbyshire.
Of solid construction, it dates to the early 1920’s.  With a spot to drop in an inkwell, carved grooves for pens and pencils and a newly painted interior of chalk board black paint, these virtually flat desks (read into this the desktop has a minimal slope), today this desk is perfect for a child’s room, in a hallway or as a side table perhaps.
