Antique Apothecary Drawers

Just released in-store & on-line this English antique Apothecary chest of drawers dates to approx. the 1870s.  Once used within a chemists for the storage of medicinal items, it comprises of 20 individual drawers (the first two runs consist of six smaller drawers per level, followed by two runs of 8 larger drawers).  The mahogany drawers which have a wonderful aged patina, with real original wear over the years giving to truly wonderful industrial look and appearance are incased within a pine timber surround.  All drawers have the original cut-glass handle and all but one have the mirrored glass plate labelled with the name of the medicinal item that used to be stored in the drawers.  This piece offers wonderful character and originality and can easily be mounted on a wall as a piece of art or left floor standing and used as a chest.  In great, solid condition.
