Australian Cedar 6 Drawer Chest of Drawers

Dating to the mid 19th century, circa 1850s, an original Australian cedar timber chest of drawers.  With six graduated drawers, (2 over 4 configuration), with unusual ogee shaped foot and apron to the base of the drawers, this piece originates from Northern New South Wales.  With cedar backing boards and secondary pine timbers for the drawer bottoms, this simply designed chest has a rich colour and patina to the timbers.  Standing at 1.31m in height, it boasts ample storage space with all drawers opening & closing freely.
