English, circa late 1940s, early 50s, Campaign ‘style’ secretaire chest of drawers.  Constructed from mahogany timbers that have a sealant coat to them, this secretaire chest of drawers boasts 7 drawers consisting of 2 full-length graduating drawers, with 5 smaller drawers above them.  The secretaire upper opening pull out drawer with fall down front reveals a well fitted interior of a bank of 4 small drawers and 6 pigeon holes, with the original leather writing surface.  Raised on off set bracket feet, and with brass campaign style side handles, brass drawer campaign style drawer handles and brass banding, this rather handsome chest of drawers is perfect for both storage and as a desk to work from a laptop.  Good condition, great colour to the timbers.
