J & P Coats Sewing Box

English, circa 1930s, original sewing thread box by J&P. Coats. Made from solid oak timbers, this sewing box  features 2 drawers as well as its original glass, gold leaf typography and some actual J&P.Coats threads.  The original use of this box was for the display of the makers sewing products within haberdashery retailers. Once supplied to stockists by J&P Coats to showcase their fine threads and needles.  In superb condition, these original sewing thread boxes are becoming increasingly hard to source.  A rare find.
