This large English mortar & pestle is a good practical size and in superb condition for its age, circa 1930s.  The lovely matte finish of the ceramic is not just decorative but also guaranteed as acid proof – so perfect for a variety of herbs, fruits and vegetable.  The original pestle is also a great size with a timber handle.
