Massen Carter & Co. Ltd Ham Stand

Late Victorian, antique ham stand from England.  Made from glazed ceramic clay, and marked with ‘Massen Carter & Co. Ltd’, this ham stand would have been used to stand a leg of ham in,making the carving of the ham meat easy to manage.  A great find which makes for an unusual decorative object.
