Pair of Royal Artillery English Military Trunks

Originally used by the The Royal Regiment of Artillery, commonly referred to as the Royal Artillery (RA) and colloquially known as “The Gunners” of the British Army, these original leather traveling trunks are magnificent.  Once belonging to a high-ranking colonel or lieutenant for the storage and transportation of his personal possessions, they date to the 1920’s.  Restored to near perfect condition they are fully re-lined in a navy cotton drill fabric.  Today these trunks are perfect re-purposed as a coffee or bedside table, even as an ottoman for the storage of linens or clothes.  Both practical and decorative,  these highly desirable leather trunks are covetable pieces of furniture.
