Royal Doulton Churchill Bulldog Draped in Union Jack 

Circa 1940’s, original Royal Doulton Winston Churchill Union Jack Bulldog. Designed by Charles Noke, this figure was made at the start of WWII as a patriotic symbol.  Bulldogs patriotically draped with the Union Jack flag were introduced in 1918 and reintroduced during WWII & Churchills premiership.  With some age crazing throughout it is in good condition with no cracks. Made In England, fully stamped and measuring 6cm in height & 8cm in length, Royal Doulton manufactured this design in 3 sizes with, and without the union jack. These older Royal Doulton pieces have become very collectible in the past few years as Royal Doulton is now producing most of their figurines overseas. This means that they are no longer stamped “Made In England”, making these wonderful older figurines more valuable and highly sought after for their “Made In England” stamp.
