Superb Antique Burr Walnut Chest of Drawers

Victorian, circa 1870, superb quality burr walnut chest of drawers.  A very fine example of this kind of model of drawers, with a lovely colour to the walnut timbers.  The pattern of the burr walnut running through all the drawers is beautiful & the overall quality is excellent.  With a solid walnut top, rounded corners and sitting on a plinth base, the drawers (2 over 3) are graduated in depth. The drawers have turned bun handles, locks & fine dovetails, but no key is available.  One of the nicest features is the extra deep bottom drawer, which pulls out with the plinth attached, making it a very functional piece of furniture with ample storage space.
