Vintage Mortar & Pestles

Vintage English mortar & pestle, circa 1950s.  Good condition, no chips to the ironstone, beautiful timber handle to the pestle.  Traditionally for grinding powders in a laboratory or pharmaceutical setting. Today they are popular kitchen objects as they are both decorative and practical.
