Wedgwood Mortar and Pestle

This large English mortar & pestle is a good, practical size and in good condition for its age, circa 1940’s.  Made and hallmarked by Wedgwood, the lovely matte finish of the ironstone is not just decorative but also guaranteed as acid proof – so perfect for a variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables.  With a beautifully aged / discoloured patina and timber handled pestle, this has to be one of our favourite’s top date.  A practical addition to any kitchen.
