‘William Morris’ Fabric Wingback Chair

Originally commissioned as a bespoke hand-made chair for our menswear store, The Man Next Door, we have now decided to sell this rather splendid looking wingback chair.
Upholstered in an original William Morris designed fabric, first produced back in 1887, The Forest Tapestry depicts scrolling acanthus leaves, a peacock, hare and fox among bunches of wild flowers. With a beautifully rich colour scheme, teamed back with a luxe neutral linen fabric, this chair was only ever used for display purposes only, and has never actually been sat in (which is such a shame as it is beyond comfortable: the duck-down filled cushion ensures this)!
